It’s time to deck the house for Christmas!

I started with my balcony a month ago. I bought 6 poinsettias and 2 pine trees and carefully transferred them into the soil. It’s just that easy to add a dash of festive tone.

Greenery wreaths are so adorable. After biding farewell to the plastic wreath I had for last Christmas, I decided to put together my first self-made wreath with fresh holly berries and pines for my front door this year. Though fresh wreath won’t last till your next Christmas and it’s more costly than that of plastic, the lovely fragrance of fresh pines will definitely make you feel worth it.

I love to decorate my Christmas tree with shimmering white and silver ornaments. I just think they look more charming and cool than any other colours. Bows are my favourite too. The custom of decorating Christmas trees began with the Germans, who used candies, cookies, and fruits as ornaments. Yum-yum, would that be too tempting to remain intact for long?

I met my friend Vinko for dinner. He brought up a topic about the 5-level pyramid and asked me to position the 5 elements in life namely career, family, love, success, and wealth on the pyramid (with the least important on top). Here is my pyramid:

I figured that I haven’t changed my priorities much over all these years. It also appeared to be a typical representation of most girls. However, as I perceived it once again, I began to question where my daily activities fit into the pyramid. I was ashamed to realise that I actually spent the least amount of time in my first priority, and on the contrary, the largest amount of time in the last! Apparently, I was making a huge mistake!?

A second question came up to me: do we envisage this pyramid as a verdict of one’s success and life satisfaction?

More & more questions started to pop up in my mind: How can I build a sound pyramid from the base up? How can I build a firm base to support the successful execution of the rest?

After all, why should I care? To me, the only one thing that really matters is happiness, and how I conceive it.

I remembered an interesting test that I came across ages ago:

Each action actually reflects the priorities that you have set in your life. Wanna try it out?

I was on the top of a flight of stairs. Looking down these jagged & steep stairs made me feel terrifyingly desolated. Should I walk down or should I turn back? What if I fall and die?

 I have these weird dreams from time to time. I was walking from door to door in search of a clean loo. Does it reflect that I am a cleanliness-maniac?

Andy Lau appears most often in my dreams among the celebrities. Silly enough, he is not really my idol. I read an article that to see an actor or actress in a dream represents the desire of having his/her physical or personality traits. Do I admire Andy's appearance or his characters in my unconscious self??
